Hang out at historic downtown Kingman.

Kingman remains very much a small town at heart and this is evident in the fact that downtown is still the place to go if you want to shop, dine out or just let your hair down. Immensely walkable and featuring dozens of historic sites and buildings (many of which are in the National Register of Historic Places), it has an eclectic selection of shops, restaurants, services and entertainment venues. Here you can enjoy a steak dinner, chill out with friends over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, head to the bowling alley, visit a museum, catch a liver performance, and so on.

Head to the park.

There are more than a few parks strewn throughout the city, something that local families appreciate. There are small neighborhood parks that usually come equipped with picnic facilities and playgrounds as well as larger areas such as Centennial Park and Southside Park, both of which have playgrounds and multipurpose fields. The former also has tennis and racquetball courts, a community center, and a swimming pool with a 50-foot water slide.

Hit the trails.

Kingman is located in a setting of surpassing natural beauty and there are literally thousands of acres of unspoiled desert landscape to explore. Begin by heading to the 11,300-acre Cerbat Foothills Recreation Area, which has 19 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
